Modern Homestead Living

What is Natural Seasonal Living?

Seasonal living is more than eating watermelon in the summer and wearing your favorite sweater in the winter.  Seasonal living is aligning with and embracing the cycles of nature, rather than resisting them.

Benefits of Natural Seasonal Living:

When we consciously or subconsciously resist the natural rhythms of life, our “whole”self (physical, energetic, mental, wisdom, spiritual) becomes imbalanced and increases our risk of disease and disharmony.  Seasons change, the moon waxes and wanes, and the tides ebb and flow. The cycles of life are rhythmic, peaceful, and inspiring.  When your health is aligned with nature, it teaches you how to flourish and thrive in any season.

Here are a few ways how living harmoniously with the Seasons can be rewarding:
  • Get to know your Body Type – Everything in nature, including YOU is made up of the five elements (air, ether, water, earth, fire).  Living according to your body type by using the healing principles of nature will help bring you into your natural state of balance.

  • Balance your body with Seasonal Eating – Cool, warm, cooked, raw, to cleanse or not to cleanse, what spices when?  It doesn’t have to be overwhelming.  Following nature’s cues, and knowing your body type, you’ll begin to feel the nutritional value that seasonal eating has for your whole body.

  • Think Local – Support your local farmers, shop at small businesses, and patronize local family restaurants.

  • Grow your own food – Whether you have a rooftop garden, 8 acres, porch containers, or an indoor windowsill pot, gardening is rewarding, nutritionally valuable, and expands your connection with nature.

  • Recharge your mental battery and sharpen your mind - S L O W down, breathe, reflect, and live in a more mindful intentional way.

  • Expand your knowledge and wisdom – Learning more about plants, animals, birds, and mother nature can increase your emotional well-being.

  • Go Outside – Exploring new terrain can improve mood, decrease cortisol levels, reduce stress, and simply make you happy!

Living intentionally with the Seasons is the ultimate guide to overall wellbeing.

Here's what others are sharing about their natural seasonal living:

I have been using Be Well Living's complexion soap for about 6 days. I was initially impressed by the cute sliding box that it came in. When I opened it, I was pleased again to see that natural herbs that you incorporate into the soap. After the first use of the soap I noticed that it left no residue on my skin (In fact I never realized how oily my traditional soap was until I used yours). I felt clean & the scent was soft, yet I could still smell it on my skin. I am already noticing a difference in the size of my pores. PLUS, it COMPLETELY removed all traces of makeup off my face. I truly wish I bought more than two bars & will DEFINITELY be buying it again.  - MS

I'm a florist in a grocery store. I have psoriasis on my hands so prepping flowers & making arrangements stresses my hands & then I have painful cracks & sores. I have medicine from my doctor that I forgot to use everyday. I received a bar of Gardener's Hand Soap from Molly's Be Well Living about a year ago. I only used it after gardening. This summer I started using it every time I washed my hands at home. Gardener's Hand Soap seems to really help the healing of the psoriasis on my hands when I have a breakout. I just purchased more because I believe this is helping me & now my husband started using Gardener's Hand Soap on his dry hardworking hands. Thanks Molly❣️ Happy hands, happy life! - BK
